Virtual dressage lessons are available to riders in the Puget Sound region and farther away. Some riders haul in for an occasional in-person lesson and take virtual lessons when they can’t make the trip.

Simple tools for a productive lesson
Connection
Reliable Wi-Fi or a strong 4G or 5G signal is needed for live coaching. Recorded reviews do not require an arena connection.
Audio
Wireless Bluetooth earbuds allow you to hear instruction clearly and keep your hands free while riding.
Camera
Use a phone or tablet on a tripod, ask a friend to film, or use a Pivo or Pixem tracking system.

What is a virtual equine biomechanics lesson?
A virtual lesson evaluates the rider’s position, timing, and aids alongside the horse’s balance, coordination, and response. Coaching can happen live or through a recorded video review.
What should I send for a recorded video review?
Send a clear recording that shows the full horse and rider through representative work. A phone, tablet, Pivo, or Pixem system can work; the arena does not need an internet connection for recorded review.
Are virtual dressage lessons available outside Washington?
Yes. Live coaching and recorded video review are available to riders locally and outside Washington. You can take virtual lessons on their own or combine them with in-person haul-in lessons at Seven Hills.
